Although I am not a Spiritualist, Lily Dale will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the lovely pictures and thoughts on your blog. By the way, I don't ever recall seeing or hearing about protesters outside the gates either! I lived in Lily Dale as a child (many years ago!) and visited my grandparents there for several summers afterward. I have just had my little BJ pass over 4 days ago. He was 16 1/2 a Australian Silky Terrior and I just love him so much. An hour prior to him leaving I saw a purple light outside in the back yard. He was hanging on and not wanting to leave, I told him how much I loved him and that even though my heart was breaking there was someone waiting for him, a few minutes after this he passed over. I am hoping he will come and visit me as I asked him to. It is so sad to lose your best friend! It makes me smile when I think of him running around playing happily! Hello, what a beautiful story. I miss them so much that I am lost and don't belong anywhere.
